The WHITELANE Flat Front Vintage petticoat pattern channels the glamour of the late 1950s.

This design is a based on a vintage McCalls petticoat pattern.  A beautiful layering piece constructed with a yoked waistband, A line skirt with volume at the hem of the garment at the back and side.  Suitable for a range of vintage silhouettes.  The pattern itself is designed to teach new skills and introduce couture techniques to the novice sewer. Complete with easy to follow instructions and graphics, this pattern is an intermediate project, with stunning results.

This is an intermediate pattern with a solid foundational knowledge of sewing techniques required.  However, full written instructions are included with follow along graphics provided.
The skills required (or you will learn on the job) with this pattern are:

  • Gathered fabric 
  • Elastic waistband application
  • Zipper insertion
 

Size: AU6-20 (WAIST 63-98CM)

Sizing for this pattern is drafted from Australian Women's Standard Sizing, but due to the nature of the garment's gathered waist, the pattern can accomodate measurements beyond each specified size.  Please refer to the size chart for details.

Supplies required

  • Tulle overlay fabric - bridal weight with a soft fall
  • Main fabric - cotton lawn or lightweight satin.
  • Zipper
  • 6mm wide satin ribbon
  • Matching thread
  • Gathering presser feet is highly recommended for this project
